North Logan City boundary
North Logan Memorial Park
North Logan Memorial Park is adjacent an existing cemetery with great potential to serve as a community/veteran memorial park. The city would like to see the park not only as a bond that connects the neighborhoods but also as an attraction for real estates development that will contribute to the urbanization of North Logan City.
In my design, two open turf spaces are provided for different kind of recreational activities, and an amphitheater along with two community gardens provides the possibility for entertainments and educational benefits. ith the great view of Cache Valley, the park would become the node that serves the future of the city.

Inspiration
Creating a desirable, efficient and enjoyable circulation is one of the qualities that a successful public space should have. With north-south oriented designated circulation system, visitors would encounter the great view of Cache Valley and both visual and olfactory stimulation of gardens while walking on an enjoyable trail in the park.
Horseshoe bend demonstrates the daedal hand of nature. The way it turns around inspires me taking the form within nature and blend it into my design.
A waving ribbon presents a gorgeous curvilinear outline, and how it transits itself in the middle of the air inspires me to design a "ribbon garden" to bind the whole park together.
Combining three major inspirations above, a trail system and a ribbon garden is settled within the park.
